Limey Golf Tournament

The Annual Nova Scotia Salmon Association "Limey" Golf Tournament, supporting the Acid Rain Mitigation Project on West River Sheet Harbour, takes place on September at the Sherwood Golf & Country Club.

No longer just golf – we’ve combined three sports that outdoors folks love – fishing, shooting and golf. Last year we created a dynamic, memorable day for participants and all kinds of great opportunities for participants and sponsors. This year, we intend to make it even better.

This year our event will be held on September 17, 2015 with registration at 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM start time at the Sherwood Golf & Country Club. The event will feature a great 12-hole golf competition combined with fishing on the well-stocked trout ponds and shooting multiple targets and clays. There has never been a better chance to have an incredibly unique day with friends and support the association and its critical work in on this important project that raises important operational funding for the West River Project. Last year, we were able to raise over $25,000, and over $460,000 since we started 9 years ago. We hope that with your continued generosity, we can exceed that number this year. There will be prizes for all events, capped off with a great meal. And, don’t worry if you’re not a pro with a golf club, fly rod or shotgun – we’ll make sure you’re safe and having a great time.

Again this year, there are several ways in which you can support the tournament and the Nova Scotia Salmon Association:

Sponsorship: Our volunteer committee is in the process of contacting our sponsors from last year to confirm their participation and support for this year’s event. In addition, we will be seeking additional sponsors at the $500 and $1,000 level.

Participation: You can also assist the Association through participation in the event by entering a four-person team at a cost of $200 per person / $800 per team. Simply get three of your friends, business associates, or your key clients and join us for a day of sport and enjoyment. A tax receipt will be provided for the charitable portion.

Prizes & Donations: As a third option we would welcome your assistance with a prize or donations. Team, individual and auction prizes are all gratefully accepted. Please indicate your interest when contacted by our volunteer representative. Every contribution will be gratefully accepted.

We hope you will be able to find a way to join us in this event. It promises to be an exciting day in support of a great project.
