Fate of salmon restoration project among concerns with proposed gold mine

The NSSA recently opposed the newest Environmental Impact Statement by Atlantic Gold. Their proposed Beaver Dam gold mine would be in the heart of our long-term restoration project on the West River, Sheet Harbour.

We detailed our concerns in a formal submission during the latest public comment period, and we weren’t alone. More 270 comments have been received so far. Read more about it here.
